DataViz, WES & The BlackBerry Bold
This was an exciting week for BlackBerry users and developers alike as WES 2008 was another huge success for the RIM world. Most of our WES team is at home recovering from a busy week today, but next week we'll hopefully be able to share some video clips, pictures and some thoughts/impressions from our WES folks.
The big announcement at WES was no doubt the BlackBerry Bold, RIM's latest and greatest BlackBerry device. There's been plenty of discussion about specs and first impressions of the device; I'll include a few links at the end of this post if you want some more info.
We're excited about the Bold too as it will be the first new BlackBerry to ship with Documents To Go included! From RIM's Bold press release:
With this powerful new smartphone, users can even talk on the phone while sending and receiving email or accessing the web, and download Word, Excel or PowerPoint files and edit them directly on the handset using the preloaded DataViz® Documents to Go® suite.
Danny Tu, Documents To Go Product Manager at DataViz, gave WES attendees a first look at Documents To Go in the Demo Theatre on Tuesday. If you couldn't make it to WES or if you missed the demo don't worry; we'll post the video early next week.
