Several Carriers Now Making 4.5 Available
We know all of you AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint customers have been waiting a long time for the Device Software 4.5 update for your BlackBerry. Well, looks like its still not available from any of the big 3 in the US, however there is reason to be optimistic this week: it would appear that several smaller/regional US carriers have started making 4.5 available to their users.
US Cellular, reportedly the 6th largest network in the US, has made the 4.5 update available for the 8330 Curve. We have also heard that Dobson Cellular/Cellular One and Viaero Wireless (regional carrier in Colorado/Nebraska) released 4.5 for the 8310 Curve. Cellcom (Wisconsin/Iowa) has also released 4.5 for the 8130 Pearl.
While this is sure to make a few folks even more frustrated as some of their friends and family across the US start getting legit access to Device Software 4.5, we can only assume that this means the big 3 will be making it available very soon too!
If you want to keep up with what carriers have release Device software 4.5 or see if its available from your carrier, just take a look at our 'Who has 4.5' post!
If you're really impatient maybe you can track down one of those $1300 Bolds?
